OUR SERVICES

We offer a range of personalised physiotherapy and rehabilitation services designed to reduce pain, restore movement, improve strength, and help you return to your everyday activities with confidence.

  • Knee Pain

    JOINT MOBILIZATION

This includes hands on techniques used on spinal and peripheral joints to increase mobility and reduce pain. This therapy can also indirectly reduce muscle spasm.

  • DRY NEEDLING

    DRY NEEDLING

Technique using fine, sterile needles to target tight muscles, trigger points and areas of muscular tension. The technique aims to reduce pain, improve muscle relaxation and restore normal movement.

  • Rehabilitation

    POST OP REHAB

Personalised progressive exercise therapy consisting of re-establishing joint mobility and muscle strength to enable the patient to reach their highest level of function.

Diagnostic Ultrasound

Diagnostic Ultrasound

Our musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound service uses high-frequency sound waves to provide safe, non-invasive, real-time imaging of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and other soft tissues.

Diagnostic ultrasound can be used alongside your physiotherapy assessment to better understand your condition, monitor tissue movement, and support a more personalised treatment and rehabilitation plan.

The service provides real-time assessment of soft tissues, supports accurate clinical decision-making, and is non-invasive and radiation-free. It can be particularly useful during movement and rehabilitation assessments and may help identify a range of musculoskeletal conditions.

Rehab

Post-Operative Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation

Physiotherapy plays an important role in recovery after surgery. Our personalised post-operative rehabilitation programmes are designed to restore mobility, strength, flexibility, and confidence while supporting a safe and progressive return to everyday activities.

We provide rehabilitation for a range of post-surgical conditions, including knee and ACL rehabilitation, shoulder rehabilitation, joint replacement rehabilitation, and fracture rehabilitation. Our programmes also focus on regaining strength and mobility and supporting a safe return to sport and normal activities.

Your rehabilitation programme is tailored to your individual condition, stage of recovery, and personal goals, with progressive exercises and hands-on treatment where appropriate.

Shockwave

SHOCKWAVE THERAPY

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) is a non-invasive treatment that uses pressure waves to target painful or injured tissue. It can help manage persistent tendon and soft-tissue conditions while supporting the rehabilitation process.

Shockwave therapy may be used as part of a personalised rehabilitation programme for a range of conditions, including plantar fasciopathy and Achilles tendinopathy, tennis and golfer’s elbow, patellar tendinopathy, rotator cuff tendinopathy, greater trochanteric pain syndrome, proximal hamstring tendinopathy, and selected muscle and soft-tissue conditions.

Shockwave therapy works best alongside appropriate rehabilitation, including progressive strengthening, mobility exercises, and load management. Your physiotherapist will assess your condition to determine whether shockwave therapy is suitable for you.

Patient Testimonials

  • “I’ve had issues with my calf for a while now and Genine got me back running again once we had addressed the underlying deficiencies and areas to work on in my training programme. Since then I managed to run a marathon, 2 Oceans Ultramarathon and 70.3 IM Durban in the space of a few months. Being an athlete herself she knows the niggles us weekend warriors go through in prepping for our races as she’s normally lining up to take part too.”

    — Alistar

  • “Genine has wonderful healing hands and has been a great blessing in my life helping me with my fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis. She is very professional and knowledgeable.”

    — Doreen

  • “I don’t think there are enough words to describe how grateful I am to have had this amazing person assist me in my recovery from an ACL and MCL reconstruction over the past 9 months. No matter what day of the week, or what time of the day, she is always just a phone call away. Thank you Genine for everything you have done for me!”

    — Marc

  • “Genine helped guide me after injuring my knee during the build up to the Comrades Marathon. She was able to identify the underlying cause of my injury, ascertain the multiple issues that were causing problems, and provide simple and effective strength and mobility exercises. She worked closely with my running coach and they adapted my program to safely build up the mileage. The race exceeded my expectations and I finished in 8:23:48, despite missing a big block of training. ”
